S.S. Decking Ltd. is looking for 2 permanent full-time Aluminum / Steel Railing Fabricators to join our team!

We specialize in vinyl decking, a waterproofing poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) sheet flooring system to residential properties, commercial properties, and homebuilders in Greater Edmonton and area. We also provide our customers with custom fabricated aluminum and iron railings, gates, and staircases. We offer aluminum glass railing, topless glass railing, and spiral staircases. We have in-house powder coating, giving our customers the option of custom colors for their aluminum and iron needs.

Crews take off and return to their various jobsites from our workshop and yard at 7515 104 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 4C1.

Job Duties

As an Aluminum / Steel Railing Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing steel and aluminum railings to be installed in residential and commercial properties for safety and security. This includes but is not limited to:

• Reviewing customer and company drawing specifications
• Identifying and planning the most effective and efficient fabrication process
• Analyzing component specifications for assembly
• Handling and moving materials required to be fabricated
• Assembling and fitting aluminum and steel materials to form complete units using metal-working machines
• Installing fabricated components to meet customer requirements

Skills Required

If you possess the following skills, you will be a great fit as an Aluminum / Steel Railing Fabricator:

• Experience welding aluminum and steel with a mig, tig, and stick welder
• Proven ability to follow direction, work independently, and as part of a team
• English oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and reliability
• Physically able to lift heavy items

Benefits

We pay  $25.19 per hour for 40 hours per week. After 1 year of employment, you will be eligible for medical benefits including dental care and vision care, employer pension contributions, disability coverage, and 14 days of vacation.
